AGL lays plan for renewables farm

AGL Energy has finalised plans for a site midway between Sydney and Adelaide to provide nearly 20 per cent of the renewables it needs to complete its energy transition, expected to consist of both a solar and wind farm and a battery system.

A recent survey found that Australians experiencing financial and social disadvantages are struggling to keep their homes cool in summer and becoming seriously unwell from the heat with 80 per cent of people living in homes that are too hot during summer.

Southeast Asian leaders and dignitaries have gathered in Melbourne for the Association of South-East-Asian Nations Australia Special Summit. Australia’s priorities for the political gathering will be strengthening business connections, cooperation on maritime operations, climate change and clean energy.
