World Meteorological Organisation says electricity supply from clean energy sources must double within 8 years

The World Meteorological Organisation has said that the supply of electricity from clean energy sources must double within the next eight years to limit global temperature increase - and mitigate the risk of climate change undermining our energy security and even jeopardising renewable energy supplies, in a new multi-agency report.

Another
new report, released yesterday by Bosten Consulting Group, says by next year, light commercial vehicles (including electric utes and vans) will be as cheap as their internal combustion engine (ICE) equivalents, based on total cost of ownership over the lifetime of the vehicle.

Plus, in an address to WA's Chamber of Commerce on Industry later today, Resources Minister Madeleine King will urge fossil-fuel giants including Rio Tinto, BHP, and Woodside, rightfully branded as "polluters" and "problematic" by many 18 to 24-year-old young Australians, to start logging on in a bid to shake off its negative vibe.
