Woodside exposed for increased pollution

Woodside Energy has increased spending on fossil fuel exploration and seen a rise in their direct greenhouse gas pollution since announcing it had an aspiration of reaching net zero emissions, according to a report released by the The Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF).

The nation’s biggest trade union has urged federal Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek to support the salmon industry workforce in Tasmania’s Macquarie Harbour and not be concerned about the future of the endangered Maugean skate.

The Queensland government will give out rebates of between $3,000 and $4,000 for households to install solar batteries. The $10 million program will begin today with the government giving out two-thousand means-tested rebates.
