# Gaping holes in the Coalition's climate approach revealed

A slew of new reports have revealed gaping holes in the Coalition’s approach to climate change, including a failure to account for climate threats in rescue plans for endangered species, and further failure to account for increased soil carbon emissions in its recently released net zero “plan”.
The 2030 climate targets from both major parties are under the spotlight, with a new Climate Council report urging both the Coalition and Labor to lift their game and commit to 75% emissions reduction within the decade.
And renters could soon enjoy the benefits of rooftop solar under a new shared ownership model.
