# Voters see future prosperity in green energy, shunning coal and gas

Voters in New South Wales and Queensland back green energy technologies to secure their long-term economic future and a majority acknowledge the era of coal and gas is coming to a close, according to a new poll.
Firefighters in Western Australia are being stretched to the limit as they battle two fierce bushfires in hot temperatures and windy conditions.
The Clean Energy Corporation is offering $300 million in debt financing to boost the use of green materials like cross-laminated timber in commercial construction projects.
