New wind farm for Victoria

TagEnergy is set to build the first stage of the Golden Plains Wind Farm near Geelong in early 2023. This development will include 122 turbines, making it one of the largest wind farms in Australia. The farm is expected to start providing green electricity to households by 2025. Commonwealth Bank will be financing a large portion of this project. This news comes after yesterday’s announcement of a $2 billion investment into a wind farm in Queensland.

The Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council have warned that flooded inland towns in New South Wales and drier parts of southern Western Australia should prepare for "above normal fire potential" this summer, with the record rainfall in eastern Australia expected to create significant fuel loads for bushfires.

NASA announced that it intends to pursue new options to measure and observe greenhouse gases in the earth’s atmosphere. Obtaining gas data from international and commercial partners, as well as extending the Orbiting Carbon Observatory-3 will both be a part of the first Earth System Explorers mission. In addition, they are cancelling their current “GeoCarb” mission which would have otherwise measured greenhouse gas emissions and plant health from space.
