The Greens have revealed a $19 billion plan to subsidise coal workers under the rapid transition away from coal, offering to underwrite half their wage for a decade to prevent Australia "sleepwalking into the closure of the coal industry".

The Dalrymple Bay coal terminal in Queensland – one of the world’s largest coal ports – is looking to establish a new green hydrogen production and export facility as it plans for the future beyond coal. 

And more than 70,000 broken coral fragments have been replanted in the Reef using a special clip under a program sparked by a mass coral bleaching event in 2016.
