Carbon credits data on the way

The Clean Energy Regulator, the agency responsible for administering the carbon credit scheme in Australia, has signalled that long-withheld data on how carbon credits are issued and calculated will be released next week. This comes as the federal government prioritises better management of the carbon credits system.

Research published in the Nature Stability journal has sought to quantify the human cost associated with global warming. According to the study, two billion people, including many Australians, will find themselves living in dangerously hot places within this century if global warming reaches 2.7℃.

Whale watching season begins in Sydney, and from May through to July up to 50,000 humpback whales are expected to pass Australia’s east coast during their annual migration from Antarctica to the Great Barrier Reef.
