Port of Newcastle, the world’s largest coal port, has announced plans to be powered entirely by renewable energy. The announcement comes as coal power generation in Australia’s national electricity market fell to its lowest level in the final three months of 2021.

Denmark's government has announced a goal to make domestic flights fossil fuel free by 2030. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said she wanted to "make flying green.”

"When other countries in the world are too slow, then Denmark must take the lead and raise the bar even more," she said.
