# Protestors beg Meg to stop gaslighting on dangerous Scarborough gas project

Protestors have gathered outside fossil fuel company Woodside’s Perth office, opposing its decision to rush ahead on the toxic Scarborough gas project as CEO Meg O’Neill sought to play down concerns during an investor update.
Australia’s offshore wind industry has received a funding boost, with the Victorian government pledging almost $40 million for three wind farm proposals off the Gippsland coast.
Investor and industry groups are pushing Labor to abandon its small-target strategy and adopt a stronger 2030 climate goal ahead of the next federal election.
