Australia’s Energy Market Operator has warned that NSW, SA and Victoria could struggle to keep the lights on unless there is a massive investment in power generation, storage and transmission over the next decade.

Senators Jacqui Lambie and David Pocock are seeking to amend the climate bill so the federal government will be forced to produce estimates of how much of a contribution their federal budget measures are making to our emissions reduction targets.

And Australians overwhelmingly want governments to fund a rapid transition to green transportation options that will save them money and fight climate change, a national survey shows.
