# Greenpeace activists demonstrate in the port of Brake, Germany at a pipeline transporter destined for Western Australia

Activists from Greenpeace Deutschland have blocked the loading of 300,000 tons of large-diameter pipes from freight liner Europipe - destined for Western Australia ahead of Woodside's deep-sea gas project's construction.
Meanwhile, Santos has bought the Hunter Gas Pipeline as it seeks to develop a new $1.2bn route for its long-stalled Narrabri project in New South Wales.
And Australia's federal and state energy ministers are set to meet today, to sign off on a national strategy that agrees to add emissions to the national electricity objective "for the first time since its creation a quarter of a century ago".
