# Fossil fuel giants pour dirty money into political parties

New data from the Australian Electoral Commission shows how fossil fuel giants funded the election campaigns of the major parties in 2022, with coal, gas, and oil interests giving more than $2.3 million to the Liberals, Labor, and the Nationals.
EV drivers in Canberra will save hundreds of dollars in registration fees every year as the ACT government announces it will transition from weight-based vehicle registration to an emissions-based system.
And a new survey reveals 11 per cent of Victorians asked for payment assistance from their energy provider amid gas price hikes and concerns that big gas companies are ripping off Australians.
