Bureau of Meteorology predicting a summer of heatwaves

Even without declaring an El Nino, the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a warmer than average summer for Australia. And the world’s oceans have set a new temperature record for the average global temperature. But in some good news, platypuses have been confirmed living near a development in Sydney’s north west, demonstrating perhaps that urbanisation hasn’t impacted them to the extent previously predicted.
